Our Principal

Kelli Glisan

Kelli Glisan began her career in education 22 years ago. Mrs. Glisan has had an extensive career in education with a wealth of leadership experience. She has served as a teacher, instructional coach, new teacher coach, dean of students, assistant principal, and principal.

Mrs. Glisan received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. She earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Wingate University and completed the Aspiring High School Principals’ Program at UNC Charlotte through the CMS Principal Pipeline Program. She is licensed as a principal and curriculum specialist.

Mrs. Glisan believes that a collaborative school environment dedicated to coaching teachers and leveraging their leadership skills is key to creating successful teachers and students. She values partnerships with parents and community members as essential to fostering a positive learning environment. She has been an active member of her children’s school community, serving as vice president of the PTA and participating on the naming committee and the mission and vision committee for the opening of a new high school.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, being with her family, and attending yoga classes.
